Animal Safer Candles: Soy candles
What's great about soy candles is that unlike paraffin candles, they don't release any bad hydrocarbons when burned and are non toxic, biodegradable, produce little or no soot, and environmentally safe. They also have a stronger scent than paraffin and clean up better (soap and hot water). We have lots of different scents from Macintosh to Green Tea to Honeysuckle. Email me to get the most current list. Everyone who has tried the candles have given us a great review. Also, you can actually use the liquefied wax as a moisturizer on your dry skin. It's not like paraffin yet it's not greasy either. It's absorbed evenly and you smell great.

This is an AMAZING book that was made by some volunteers at a shelter in CA who felt the world needed to know what shelter and rescue work was really like. The book has gotten WONDERFUL reviews, and the best part is, one of the authors is an ex-rat owner, and good friends with one of our ark adopters (who used to work at that shelter as well).
